T7 simulation focus day Covers (T7 Börse Frankfurt)

On the focus day “Covers”, participants are requested to test the activation process and trading of cover instruments (Hüllen-Instrumente).

The following two scenarios are planned for the focus days.


For Instruments DE000HR2JVR8 & DE000VP8GVH6 Scenario 1: Intraday Cover Activation

Simulation Business Day 1 (Tuesday):

  • The instrument cover gets activated until 1:00 p.m by the issuer (If the issuer doesn’t activate the cover by 1:00 p.m, the cover will be activated by DBAG)
  • Distribution of updated cover instrument information via RDI & RDF (incremental file)
  • Trading in the activated cover instrument
  • Check of trading reports & contract notes (Schlussnoten)

For instuments DE000HR2K271 & DE000VP8GXL4 Scenario 2: Cover Activation outside simulation trading hours

Simulation Business Day 1 (Tuesday):

  • The instrument cover gets activated outside simulation trading hours by the issuer.

Simulation Business Day 2 (Wednesday):

  • Distribution of updated cover instrument information via RDI & RDF (incremental file).
  • Trading in the activated cover instrument.
  • Check of trading reports & contract notes (Schlussnoten).

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.

Please find further information about incident handling in the Emergency Playbook published on the Xetra webpage under Technology --> T7 trading architecture --> Emergency procedures. Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message

We strongly recommend not to take any decisions based on the indications in the market status window but to always check the production news board for comprehensive information on an incident.
