New iShares ETF on Xetra: access to small cap companies worldwide with a focus on sustainability and low carbon emissions

A new exchange-traded fund issued by iShares has been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Tuesday.

The iShares MSCI World Small Cap ESG Enhanced UCITS ETF USD (Acc) tracks the performance of small cap companies from developed markets that are included in the MSCI World Small Cap Index (parent index). Companies with significant business activities in weapons, thermal coal, tobacco, nuclear energy, and oil sands, as well as companies that violate the United Nations Global Compact are excluded from the index.

The remaining companies are weighted using an optimisation process that aims to maximise exposure to issuers with higher ESG ratings and reduce exposure to carbon emissions relative to the parent index.
