Since 2013, Mr Schyra has been a member of the board of Private Vermögensverwaltung AG in Essen. In his prior positions, he was responsible for fund and asset management as a portfolio manager of a private bank and he was the CFO of an exchange-listed holding company for a Swiss asset manager. Mr Schyra attended evening courses to graduate as a Diplom-Kaufmann (FH) and earned a PHD. The topic of his thesis is “Indices as Benchmarks in the Portfolio Management: With Special Consideration of the European Monetary Union“. He is the author of a number of books, articles and columns on various asset management and capital market topics. In addition, Mr Schyra is a lecturer at FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics & Management for bachelor and master programmes focusing on finance and economics.
