Konrad Kleinfeld leads State Street Global Advisors - SPDR's fixed income ETF distribution in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, working closely with SPDR's regional country heads and sales teams in the regions to develop efficient fixed income investment solutions for institutional clients.

Prior to joining State Street Global Advisors, he spent 5 years at BlackRock, where he was responsible for selling iShares ETFs and index fund solutions to industry pensions, foundations and selected multinational corporations. He also served as BlackRock iShares' fixed income sales specialist for the German speaking region and was the senior business lead for BlackRock's junior talent programme in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe. Prior to joining BlackRock, he was responsible for selling global fixed income and credit derivatives to institutional clients in Germany, Austria and parts of Switzerland at Nomura International plc in London and Frankfurt. He started his career as a credit derivatives and corporate bond trader. His economic assessments are incorporated into the ZEW Financial Market/Economic Indicators and he has been quoted and interviewed by ARD, n-tv, DAF, FAZ, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Handelsblatt, among others.

Konrad studied in Cambridge, Hannover, London and also teaches financial analysis and analytics at the University of Oxford and Economics & Finance in Germany.
