Carsten Klude has been Chief Economist at M.M.Warburg & CO since 2000 and is responsible for economic and capital market forecasts as well as for all asset allocation issues. After training as a banker at Deutsche Bank in Bremen, he studied economics with a focus on econometrics in Kiel. Klude joined the Hamburg-based private bank in 1996. In his role, he advises both private clients and institutional investors on all aspects of investment policy. Since summer 2013, he has also been responsible for the bank's private asset management. This includes responsibility for macro research, portfolio solutions, portfolio management and the advisory office. Born in Bremen, he is 55 years old, married and father of two daughters.


Carsten Klude has received a number of awards in recent years for his economic and interest rate forecasts. Among other things, the Financial Times Deutschland newspaper named him "Forecaster of the Year," and for many years he led the FTD's long-term ranking. After this evaluation was taken over by Der Spiegel, he was again voted No. 1 for the Germany forecast in 2019. For 2015, 2016 and 2019, Klude was also awarded the Forecast Accuracy Award for Germany by the renowned London-based journal Consensus Economics. The €uro magazine named Mr. Klude "Interest Rate Expert 2021", in 2022 he was ranked 2nd. In addition to his work at Warburg, Mr. Klude has been a member of the Economic and Monetary Policy Committee of the Association of German Banks (Bundesverband deutscher Banken e.V.) since 2010, which he chaired from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017.
