T7 Cloud Simulation Support

The Deutsche Börse T7 Cloud Simulation environment is an on-demand simulation environment providing Trading Participants with access to a dedicated instance of the Exchange’s T7 trading architecture for testing and development purposes. It is a self-service environment that can be quickly and easily accessed 24/7 using either SSL or IPSEC encryption over your choice of internet connection. 

Flexible access to T7 simulation environments: 

  • Production simulation allows for testing in the current production version of Xetra Exchange’s T7

  • The simulation environment allows for testing of the forthcoming update/version of T7 

  • A pre-release simulation environment allowing for beta testing of future release simulation is made available when/if applicable

What are the most important product features?

The T7 Cloud Simulations allows you to:  

  • create your own orderbooks 

  • set the market trading phase 

  • change the state of specific products 

  • use the Liquidity Generator and Auto Matcher to enter trade reversals 

  • test failover scenarios 

Does the T7 cloud environment provide the same functionality as the normal test market?

The functionality of the offered interfaces is equal. However, there is no post-trade environment attached, no reference data and no access to the various GUIs. It is designed to support our members & ISVs software development.

Does the Trading Member get an "own" market and no other ISV's/members are active there?

Correct, each customer opens its own T7 instance and you’ll have a preconfigured number of IDs to use for test trading.

Do we need to pay the rate even though we already pay for the normal test market?

Yes, as the T7 Cloud Simulation is an additional resource to the regular simulation and is non-negotiable.

How is the per hour rate controlled? Upon connect regardless of activity?

You start the T7 Cloud Simulation instances for yourself only; the instances are then billed from the moment the exchange becomes available, regardless of whether you connect to it or not (its similar to a parking pricing scheme.) There is also an automatic terminate feature, which stops your T7 Cloud Simulation instance when its maximum run time has elapsed, in case you forget to terminate it manually. This is by default set to 4 hours (meaning that by default you won't be billed for more than 4 hours), but can be adjusted at any point from instance start up until its termination within the interface. Instances can run for anywhere between 1 and 24 hours. 
 
You will be billed per hour, for each hour since the exchange in T7 Cloud Simulation instance became available. Start of the exchange from instance start takes approximately 10 minutes, and you are never billed for the time it takes for the instance to start up, until the exchange is available for your use. 

Is there a known limitations list for the T7 Cloud environment?

How do we terminate our T7 Cloud environment agreement?

To terminate the T7 Cloud Simulation access an official request on letterhead paper should be sent as pdf to client.services@deutsche-boerse.com.

Please find further information about incident handling in the Emergency Playbook published on the Xetra webpage under Technology --> T7 trading architecture --> Emergency procedures. Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message
