New HSBC ETFs on Xetra: Sustainable investments in emerging markets and Asia with climate efficiency

Two new exchange traded funds issued by HSBC Global Asset Management have been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Tuesday.

The HSBC Emerging Market Sustainable Equity UCITS ETF and the HSBC Asia Pacific ex Japan Sustainable Equity UCITS ETF give investors access to particularly sustainable companies from emerging markets or the Asia-Pacific region with the exception of Japan. In addition, the selected companies have the objective of contributing to long-term carbon decrease to reduce the burden of fossil fuels.

Companies with significant business activities in the fields of nuclear energy, tobacco, steam coal and weapons are excluded from the index. Furthermore, companies that do not adhere to the principles of the United Nations Global Compact (e.g. respect for human rights and the fight against corruption) are not included.
