New Franklin Templeton ETFs on Xetra: Climate Protection ETFs on the equity markets in the US and Europe

Since Thursday, two new exchange traded funds issued by Franklin Templeton have been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt

Both the Fanklin S&P 500 Paris Aligned Climate UCITS ETF and the Franklin STOXX Europe 600 Paris Aligned Climate UCITS ETF track the performance of U.S. and European equities that are aligned with the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The new ETFs meet the minimum requirements of the EU climate targets and the Paris Climate Change Agreement. Companies are selected from the respective benchmark index that are in line with the long-term goal of the United Nations' Paris Climate Convention to limit global warming to a maximum of 1.5°C.

Companies from the coal, arms or tobacco sectors are excluded, as are those that violate EU environmental goals or social standards.
