Martin Jetter elected as new Chairman of the Supervisory Board


The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG elected Martin Jetter (61) as new Chairman of the Supervisory Board during its meeting today following the company's Annual General Meeting. Mr Jetter succeeds Dr. Joachim Faber (70), who resigned from the Supervisory Board effective at the end of today's Annual General Meeting.

The Supervisory Board nominated Martin Jetter as the new Chairman in December last year. He has been a member of the board since 24 May 2018. Mr Jetter has held a number of leading positions at IBM in Germany and abroad. He is currently Senior Vice President & Chairman IBM Europe, based in Madrid, and a member of the IBM Corporation Management Board at the top management level.

Dr. Faber had been a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG since May 2009 and had headed it as Chairman since 2012. The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG has a total of 16 members.
