New Invesco ETFs on Xetra: Companies in line with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement

Since Friday, four new exchange traded funds issued by Invesco are tradable via Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.

With the four new sustainability ETFs, Invesco offers investors the opportunity to participate in the performance of large and medium-sized companies that are driving the decarbonization of the economy to achieve the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. Investors can focus on individual countries such as Japan or the USA or focus on companies based in Europe or developed markets worldwide.

The goal is to limit global warming to no more than 1.5°Celcius. To achieve this, companies should reduce their carbon emissions by ten per cent annually and reduce the physical risk exposure to extreme weather conditions by at least 50 per cent. Companies that benefit from measures to combat climate change and for which new business opportunities arise are overweighted.

To be included in the index, companies must not have significant business activities in tobacco, thermal coal, weapons, or oil and gas sectors, and must not be involved in ESG controversies or activities that negatively impact the environment.
