New ETF from iShares on Xetra: access to publicly-listed private equity companies

A new exchange-traded fund issued by iShares has been tradable on Xetra since Tuesday.

The iShares Listed Private Equity UCITS ETF offers investors access to large, liquid, and listed private equity companies from developed markets. Private equity firms invest directly into or buy out private companies. Holdings in Master Limited Partnerships, which have a structure similar to limited partnerships on shares, are capped at 20 per cent. The individual holdings are weighted by market capitalisation.

Companies based in the United States account for over 50 per cent, followed by Great Britain and Canada.
